About TAP/LA
The Artist Projects of Los Angeles was founded as a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization in 2015 by Lexa Safran in response to the disconnect between Angelenos and their community of working artists. The core mission of TAP/LA is to galvanize a new group of socially engaged patrons supporting artists and arts workers through conscientious collecting.
Active members of our collectors’ group are invited to private salons with art experts and thought leaders in the art community to discuss how collecting can shape the cultural narrative and to raise funds for TAP/LA’s various initiatives, including unrestricted artist grants for under-recognized artists.
