The Founder
As a private consultant specializing in the emerging markets of contemporary art, Lexa Safran provides clients with the access and knowledge necessary to build artist-driven collections. Lexa serves both the art-curious and the connoisseur in fostering lasting relationships that directly support artists and arts workers with every acquisition. From private artist dinners, studio visits, exhibition tours, and intimate gatherings, Lexa brings new and established collectors alike into a close-knit community committed to funding artist projects as well as building personal collections.
Prior to establishing The Artist Projects/Los Angeles in 2014, Lexa worked at a blue-chip gallery in New York while studying Arts Marketing and Communications at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. She then worked at an experimental project space in Los Angeles before joining the development team of Los Angeles County Museum of Art to lead funding initiatives for acquisitions within several curatorial departments. Lexa has served on the board of The Industry/LA and as an advisor for the UNICEF Next Generation Art Party.
The Artist Projects/LA continues to support artists with educational resources and access to project funding whenever possible.
